Colour tip for emotional stability

We have just experienced our first ‘grey’ day here in New Zealand after months of fantastic weather. Like me, are you also influenced by the weather? When the sun is out I automatically feel uplifted and I want to get out there and do things. On a ‘grey’ day when the entire sky is covered with clouds, shutting out the sun, I always feel a bit miserable and all I really want to do is sit at home with an interesting book or just watch Oprah on the television!
Grey is a mixture of black and white and there are many shades of grey. This colour has always been a challenging colour for me because it stands for structure, coolness of mind and self discipline, supporting one to be more methodical, neutral and organised. Everyone who knows me personally, can tell you that I am somewhat challenged by these characteristics and struggle to work in a structured and organised manner, especially as I am generally guided by my emotions.

When I first started developing the concept ‘colour coaching’ I realised that the colour grey was one I never wore. I started to introduce this colour into my wardrobe whenever I needed to make decisions based on an intellectual rather than emotional level and by doing so giving myself emotional stability in situations that would otherwise have caused me immense stress. It is also interesting that when we struggle to wear a certain colour, it is usually because the qualities of that particular colour highlight to us where our vulnerabilities lay.

Grey is a so called corporate colour, used to project quality, stability and reliability, as seen here in the logo of ASB bank of New Zealand.

People who love the colour grey or wear lots of grey are driven by their intellect and have the ability to work as an individual without emotional involvement. They can approach life and its problems in a practical and methodical manner. Grey portrays professionalism, dignity and credibility in a conventional and reserved manner. If you want to use this colour as a accessory you can order a grey swarovski bracelet or grey silk scarf

Have fun with the colour grey and portray yourself as reliable, dependable and sophisticated.
