Colour tip to stand out

I have just returned from Germany where I had the pleasure of teaching colour coaching in German. The evening before my departure, I was invited by friends for some drinks. We decided to get a take-away dinner and the host, my friend and myself hopped into the car to get the meal. We went to a Libyan restaurant but were not sure what to order. The owner of the restaurant explained in detail all ingredients of his menu and how the dishes were prepared. While we waited for our meal we were offered a complimentary drink and little appetizers as tasters. We felt special because we were very well treated. The owner gave not 100% but 150% of his time and attention.

A couple of days before this experience, I was in another restaurant, having my favourite dish, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, when my friend got very emotional while telling a story. The waiter noticed this and silently placed a packet of tissues in front of my friend.

These two incidents happened within a week of each other and they struck me as typical ‘magenta/fuchsia moments. This colour has the characteristics of empathy, eye for detail, be noticed or standing out and going the extra mile. I believe that in these times it is necessary to differentiate yourself.

If you want to be noticed and stand out, you can achieve this with the colour magenta/fuchsia. This colour is not only bright and vibrant but also communicates a message of enthusiasm, empathy, openness for change and eye for detail.

You will find it intriguing that when you start to introduce this colour into your life an openness for change and transformation will come about. It also signifies that you are not afraid of doing things in a new, non-traditional manner.

In branding, this colour can be used to communicate a message of vibrancy, innovation and precision. See the logo of Telekom Deutschland.

If you want to integrate this colour into your life you can order a silk scarf or Swarovski bracelet in this colour.

I wish you many opportunities where you can stand out and be noticed for who you are,

Thelma
