Colourinterpreter instead of Colourcoach
After 10 years of developing the Colour Comfort method I have finally captured the essence of what we are doing with colour. The Colour Comfort Method interprets the language of colour. Therefore I have changed the title Colour coach to colourinterpreter.

Affirmation cards
You can order new affirmation cards. Send an email to thelma@colourcomfort.com how many you would like and which colours.
20 Affirmation cards costs NZ $15 incl. shipping fee. You can order 2 x 10 in the same colour or different colours. They will be sent directly to your home address.
Use of software
- Only use the software after the first consultation.
- Never use the software program in front of the client. The CC consultation is a personal consultation and can stir emotions with the client. This consultation requires all the attention of the CC coach.
- Whenever your client is not using a colour as a top but only as accessories, jacket, skirt or trousers, the software program will remain on 0 and the report will indicate that the colour is only worn as accessories, jacket, skirt or trousers.
- Whenever you save the report as a pdf file in the software program, you can save the file on your computer. Make a separate file, CC reports, and save all these reports in one file. You can email the report or print it. ,
Nightwear / bedroom / bed linen
If someone does not wear a colour but surround him/herself with this colour in the bedroom, like bed linen, nightwear and walls of bedroom, this colour is then used privately. The bedroom is a private place and these colours are used privately.
Prints
If someone only uses a colour in prints, this colour is there but not in your face. I would suggest to fill in a number between 1 and 3.
Recognize a colour
It is not always clear which colour we are dealing with, for example, taupe, aubergine etc. Ask the question of the CC questions for coaches to see if the client can recognize a situation related to this colour or describe the personality of this colour and ask your client which personality description is correct. The answer will tell you which colour it is.
Nail polish / eye shadow / spectacles
The colour of the nail polish will indicate how someone likes to work. Our hands represent how we grasp a situation or work. The colour eye shadow or spectacles will indicate how someone sees the world around her or him.

Four Questions as a taster
The four questions can be used as a ‘free sample’, just like you sometimes receive a free perfume sample.
Be aware though that you do not go into explaining about the colours to intensively; a sample is supposed to be a way of introduction, not a short consultation. I cannot express strongly enough that you must refrain from naming the colour, as it would then become an impersonal collection of facts.
Use the affirmation cards to make this taster visual and more interesting for the client, as well as easier for you to do.
You can use either side of the affirmations cards, the coloured side or the affirmations. Please the first card, the most favourite colour in front of you, remember if they are wearing this colour or not. Place the coloured card that is disliked most next to the first and place the opposite coloured card above this card. There is always a tendency to lean to the opposite colour of the colour disliked. Place the last coloured card that is dominant in the home. Now ‘read’ the emotional significance of the 1st card, the opposite card of the disliked colour and the card representing the home. In this way you can mention all the positive attributes without going into details about the challenges. Please note that the opposite colour of the disliked colour is not a very large part of their personality, just a tendency to towards. The main part of their personality lies in the first card. If the person would like to know what their challenge is, just mention it briefly in the most positive manner.

Colour Coaching Information
The colour gold
If someone is drawn to the colour gold in clothing, accessories, furniture etc. it is a sign that this person is tapping into their inner wisdom. Not wisdom that is learned by books but a wisdom that comes from inside. A knowing. Gold is a nostalgic colour and it signifies that this person is contemplating what has happened in the past and is trying to make sense out of it. Understanding what their experiences can teach them. Gold lies between yellow and orange and if they are drawn to use this colour it could be that a trauma has happened and they lost their focus and purpose in life. They are trying to make sense out of their past experience(s). If you look at the opposite colours (navy – violet/purple) it indicates that they have lost their vision and dream and need to rebuild this. Writing down what their dream is and taking time out on a daily basis to calm the mind and be open for guidance and inspiration would be good advice. If the colour gold is more dark so a bronze colour, it means that there is a need to restructure their life in combination with all the information above, it could be that their life has fallen apart and they need to find the inner wisdom to rebuild their own life. (after a death, divorce, trauma, accident etc) A need for contemplation, creating a vision and dream and following the intuition and inner guidance.
Consecutive Chakra Colours
When you are conducting a consultation, take specific note of consecutive chakra colours that are not being worn.
For example, if red, orange and yellow or green, turquoise and blue and not being worn, it will give you an insight to emotions that are not particularly active.
If the lower chakra colours are not being worn, it can be an indication that your client has difficulty to bring ideas to fruition because of fear or insecurity.
If the colours of the heart and throat chakra are not being worn, it can imply that ideas are not being communicated due to a lack of self-confidence.
It is important when blocks (sequences) of chakra colours are not being worn.
Advice your client to eat food in the missing colours, especially if it is one of the chakra colours: red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, purple/violet.
In the case that white is not being worn at all, then all colours of food can be eaten, but do not suggest for your client to eat more ice cream, white bread or to use more sugar. The same goes for burgundy, do not suggest they should drink more wine! Instead, suggest they eat more red food.
Absence of White
Should you have a client who does not wear a lot of colours and white is also lacking, than I would suggest you advise them to start with adding white to their wardrobe. Of all the colours, I feel that white is the most important colour as it represents our individuality.
People who never wear white have experienced something that created a state of mind where they feel they have to ‘dim the light’, where they are not allowed to ‘shine’ and lack acceptance of themselves.
Personally, I feel that this is very important; everyone should be allowed to be their own unique individual and everyone’s talents need to be able to contribute to make this world a better place.
The colour Turquoise and social media
The colour turquoise represents not only intuition, creativity and spontaneity but also New Age philosophies and Computers/mass communications. When someone is mainly wearing this colour, or it is their favourite colour, it can signify that they are very interested in connecting with others through social media like Facebook, twitter etc. as well as e-learning, e-commerce and e-marketing. In my opinion, this colour represents everything that has to do with the computer and the social media. A dislike of this colour can indicate that the person has a preference to traditional methods and thinking (religion). It is necessary for those who are overdosing on this colour or who are spending most of their days behind the computer, to ground themselves (brown). This can easily be achieved by walking barefoot on the soil on a daily basis.
Ebook to sell
As a registered CC coach you can download the e-books for free and sell or give them to your clients and / or friends.
The only restriction is that you will have to sell the e-books for a set price of:
US $ 9.95, NZ $ 12, Euro 6.50
You can download a copy of the e-books here via the 'downloads' menu.
CC consultation by phone or Skype Procedure:
If you want to do a CC consultation by phone or Skype you can follow the following procedures:
- Set a date and time
- Let client pay for the consultation beforehand by credit card or internet banking
- Email the client the CC colour chart and CC timeline
- Ask the client to print off the CC timeline and have the colour chart on their computer screen while doing a CC consultation so they can see the colours you are discussing
- Send your CC report by mail or email to the client after the CC consultation
- Include a CC clothing chart for the client to fill in
- Make a follow up appointment
The difference of CC consultation by phone or Skype is that you cannot work with the CC toolkit, give the client a cotton bracelet in the two suggested colours. However, you can always ask your client if they are interested in ordering a starterpack in the suggested colours (see:
I suggest you offer the telephone / Skype CC consultation at a lower price than the CC consultation in person.
